Can the Matrice 30T fly in the rain?
Yes, thanks to IP55 certification the Matrice 30T is resistant to light rain, snow and dust. It can operate in adverse weather conditions that would ground consumer drones.
What’s the difference between M30 and M30T?
The Matrice 30T includes the 640×512 radiometric thermal camera for professional thermal imaging. The base M30 has RGB cameras only. Both share the same flight performance and resistance.
Is it compatible with DJI Dock for automated flights?
Yes, the Matrice 30T has a specific “Dock Version” for DJI Dock integration for automated operations and programmed missions without a pilot.
Can I use TB60 batteries from the Matrice 300?
No, the Matrice 30T uses exclusively the new TB30 batteries with improved energy efficiency and self-heating system for cold climates.
How long does battery charging take?
With the included BS30 Battery Station, two TB30 batteries charge from 20% to 90% in around 30 minutes. Full charge takes 60 minutes.
Is a licence required for commercial flight?
Yes, for commercial use in Italy you need an A2 certificate (up to 2kg) or UAS Pilot Certification for critical/specific operations. DroneBase provides complete regulatory advice.
