Laser-excited phosphor
beam
LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) technology surpasses the limits of traditional high-power LEDs: superior light penetration over long distances, much more concentrated and collimated beam, drastically higher energy efficiency. Power consumption in Long Beam Mode is just 24 W — minimizing the load on the drone battery and preserving flight time. Center illumination of 40 lux at 100 meters provides clear visibility of subject details even in total absence of ambient light.

From wide beam for short-range search to collimated beam for long range, both-on for maximum coverage, and strobe for signaling. Four modes designed to work alongside third-party payload optics (5x, 15x and beyond zoom).
Low Beam · 15° / 150m
For 5x camera zoom or above
Wide 15° beam with range up to 150 meters. Covers the field of view of a 5x zoom camera — ideal for most short-range search and inspection needs. Perfect for urban patrolling and perimeter monitoring.
Long Beam LEP · 4° / 300m
For 15x camera zoom or above
Collimated 4° beam with range up to 300 meters — the real difference made by LEP technology. Covers the field of view of a 15x zoom camera. Ideal for long-distance emergency rescue and targeted identification of missing persons.
Both-On · 500m
Maximum situational coverage
Activates Low Beam and Long Beam simultaneously. Greater center illumination than Long Beam alone, retains the wide FOV of Low Beam while extending range up to 500 meters. The mode for maximum situational awareness.
Strobe · high frequency
Signaling and alerting
High-frequency strobe to effectively grab attention. Especially useful in emergency rescue scenarios, public safety, population alerting, emergency signaling, and crowd management operations.

H30 intelligent alignment
On Matrice 400 with Zenmuse H30, the S1 calibrates its optical center in real time via gimbal sync and software algorithms, preventing beam deviation relative to the camera view.
Synchronized dual control
On Matrice 400 you can mount two S1s and control them simultaneously: on/off, brightness adjustment, gimbal angle in coordinated mode. Ideal for wide-area illumination in nighttime SAR operations.
FlightHub 2 viewing
Real-time video feed and spotlight control via DJI FlightHub 2. Ground-air collaborative operations with the operations center, coordination of teams deployed across the territory.
Eye + burn protection
Automatic brightness reduction to 40% when the drone is on the ground, preventing accidental blinding. Shell surface temperature kept below 50°C to avoid burns on contact.
MSDK + Payload SDK
Quick integration via Mobile SDK for custom apps. On Matrice 400, advanced control via Manifold 3 and Payload SDK for custom workflows — automatic triggers, integration with proprietary systems.
