Which drones can I mount the Zenmuse S1 on?
The Zenmuse S1 is compatible with DJI Matrice 350 RTK, Matrice 300 RTK and Matrice 400. It can be mounted on any gimbal attachment (top or bottom) and requires the DJI RC Plus remote controller.
What is the difference between Low Beam and High Beam modes?
Low Beam offers a wide 15° beam with range up to 150m, ideal for close-range searches. High Beam LEP provides a concentrated 4° beam with range up to 300m, perfect for long-range operations.
How much does power consumption impact drone flight time?
The Zenmuse S1 consumes only 17W in High Beam mode, which is very low consumption that significantly preserves the drone’s flight time.
Is it safe for operators to use the spotlight?
Yes, it includes multiple safety features: automatic reduction to 40% when the drone is on the ground, maximum surface temperature of 50°C to prevent burns, and over-current and thermal-runaway protection.
Can I control the spotlight with custom commands?
Yes, you can programme the DJI RC Plus customisable buttons for immediate on/off control, mode switching and brightness adjustment. It is also compatible with DJI Mobile SDK for custom integrations.
Is the Zenmuse S1 resistant to bad weather?
Yes, it has IP54 certification that guarantees protection from dust and water spray, allowing operations in adverse weather conditions between -20°C and +50°C.
