A 14-inch, 1500-nit external monitor that mirrors a DJI remote controller’s screen wirelessly, up to 200 metres away. The transmitter plugs into the remote controller’s HDMI port, the monitor shows the scene to whoever has to decide and, through reverse touch control, lets them act on the remote controller’s interface straight from the large screen. No cables strung between pilot and command position, no screens washed out in full sun.

How it worksFrom the remote controller to the big screen, without cables

The system has two parts: a transmitter that plugs into the remote controller’s HDMI port, and the 14-inch monitor that receives its signal. The link is point-to-point and needs no network, router or on-site infrastructure.

Step 01Plug in the transmitterThe 138-gram transmitter connects to the HDMI port of the DJI remote controller and takes the video signal, with no installation and no configuration
Step 02Point-to-point linkCommunication runs over an ad hoc network between transmitter and monitor, with high bandwidth and low latency, up to 200 metres in an interference-free environment
Step 03Watch on 14 inchesA 2560 × 1600 IPS screen at 1500 nit with 100% sRGB and 2000:1 contrast: detail stays readable in full sun, where the remote controller’s own screen falls short
Step 04Act from the monitorReverse touch control lets the remote controller’s interface be operated from the monitor: the coordinator no longer has to take the controller out of the pilot’s hands
Why choose itKey benefits

In the field the problem is almost never the drone: it is that the person who has to decide cannot see what the pilot sees. An HDMI cable strung between two positions is a fragile answer, and the controller’s screen is small and, in full sun, hard to read.

1500 nit, readable in full sunBrightness is more than double that of a typical outdoor tablet: scene detail stays visible even at midday, with no need to find shade
No cable between positionsThe link is wireless point-to-point: no HDMI cables run across the ground, no constraint on where pilot and command position stand
Reverse touch controlThe remote controller’s interface is operated from the monitor: the coordinator can work the payload and app functions without taking the controller from the pilot
Two HDMI and two Type-CThe available outputs let the signal carry on to a second screen or to a system already installed in a control room or on a vehicle
Four hours, fast chargingA 6000 mAh battery with 4 hours of endurance, PD and QC fast charging and the option of continuous external power over Type-C while in use
Not just dronesThe signal can come from any HDMI source: DJI remote controllers with a screen, but also control stations for robots, surface vessels and quadrupeds
The productFieldLink C150: the controller’s screen, large and wireless

The FieldLink C150 is a 14-inch wireless external monitor built for drone operations where several people need to see the same scene. A transmitter plugs into the HDMI port of the DJI remote controller and sends the signal to the monitor over a point-to-point ad hoc link: no local network, router or on-site infrastructure required. The stated transmission distance is up to 200 metres in an interference-free environment.

The screen is a 2560 × 1600 IPS panel at 1500 nit, with 100% sRGB coverage, 2000:1 static contrast, 16.7 million colours and a 60 Hz refresh rate: the combination needed to read a thermal image or a point cloud outdoors, where a tablet screen flattens out. The body is aluminium alloy, weighs 1.3 kg, measures 327.6 × 216.6 × 12.5 mm and carries an IP43 protection rating. Four built-in speakers also reproduce the source’s audio.

Reverse touch control allows the remote controller’s interface to be operated straight from the monitor: whoever is coordinating can work the app and payload functions without taking the controller out of the pilot’s hands, and the pilot keeps control of the flight at all times. The monitor has two HDMI and two Type-C ports, so the signal can carry on to a second screen or to a system already installed in a control room or aboard a vehicle. Endurance is 4 hours from a 6000 mAh battery, with PD and QC fast charging and continuous external power while in use. Compatible with DJI remote controllers that have an HDMI port, including the RC Plus and RC Pro series and DJI Enterprise controllers with a screen. Supplied by DroneBase, DJI Gold 5 Dealer certified ISO 9001:2015, with a preliminary compatibility check against the controller in use, pre- and post-sales technical support and operational training.

Other sourcesAny source with an HDMI output: control stations for robots, surface vessels and quadrupeds
RequirementAn HDMI port on the source with video output enabled
Who it is forApplication sectors
Civil protection and emergencyThe coordinator sees the scene live on a large screen while the pilot stays focused on flying, with no controller passed back and forth
Inspections with the client on siteThe client or works supervisor follows the footage live and says what to capture, cutting later rounds of review
Construction and industrySurveys and plant inspections where the technical lead assesses the anomaly on the spot rather than waiting for office processing
Mobile command posts and vehiclesThe HDMI outputs carry the signal to screens already installed aboard a vehicle or in a field control room
Training and instructionThe instructor shows a group what the trainee is doing, or steps into the interface to correct a setting during the exercise
Robotics and uncrewed vehiclesAny control station with an HDMI output: robots, quadrupeds and surface vessels use the same monitor as the drones
Frequently asked questionsFAQ
Which remote controllers does it work with?
With DJI remote controllers that have an HDMI port and video output enabled, including the RC Plus and RC Pro series and DJI Enterprise controllers with a screen. More generally it works with any source that has an HDMI output, so also with control stations for robots, quadrupeds and surface vessels. We check the controller actually in use with you before ordering.
How far does the link reach?
The stated transmission distance is up to 200 metres in an interference-free environment. The real figure depends on obstacles between transmitter and monitor and on radio congestion at the site: in urban areas or around metal structures the usable range is shorter.
Does reverse touch control let you fly the drone from the monitor?
No. Reverse touch control operates the source’s interface, that is the app and payload functions shown on screen. Flight control remains entirely on the remote controller and in the pilot’s hands, and the pilot retains responsibility for the conduct of the aircraft at all times.
Does it need a network or an internet connection?
No. The link between transmitter and monitor is point-to-point over an ad hoc network: no local network, router, SIM or data coverage is required. That is why the system works in remote areas with no signal.
Can the signal also be sent to another screen?
Yes. The monitor has two HDMI ports and two Type-C ports, which allow the signal to be sent to a second screen or to a system already installed in a control room or aboard an equipped vehicle.
How long does the battery last, and can it run on mains power?
The 6000 mAh battery gives 4 hours of endurance. The monitor supports external power over Type-C including while in use, so at a fixed position or aboard a vehicle it can run continuously. Fast charging is compatible with the PD and QC protocols.
Can it be used in the rain?
The protection rating of both monitor and transmitter is IP43: they withstand small solid bodies and water spray at angles up to 60° from vertical. That rating is not suited to driving rain or direct jets, so shelter should be arranged in adverse conditions.
What support does DroneBase provide?
DroneBase, a DJI Gold 5 Dealer and ISO 9001:2015 certified company, checks compatibility with the controller in use beforehand, and provides pre- and post-sales technical support, configuration and operational training on using the system in the field.
