The system brings together functions that would normally need separate units, each with its own purchase, maintenance and setup time. Modules are swapped on the quick-release rail, without redoing the installation.

The Smart Dropping System is a drone release system built for rescue, emergency and firefighting operations with the DJI FlyCart 100. Its structure is a three-rail, six-stage hanger with adjustable pitch, allowing up to six independent releases in a single mission and adapting to loads of different shapes and sizes without payload structure constraints.
Control runs through a main unit that accepts commands from the drone remote controller, a dedicated controller, manual buttons and 4G, feeding back equipment status and operating data in real time. A millimetre-wave radar measures height above ground. Five drop patterns are available: single hook, left side, centre, right side and all-around. The system includes physical hook-state detection, safety locking and release confirmation, so the operator knows at any moment what is attached and what has already gone.
Three expandable modules add to the release function: a fire bucket for water discharge, laser guidance with a 520 nm, 1.2 W green source at adjustable intensity, and a high-power megaphone with recorded file playback and live announcements at a volume adjustable from 0 to 100%. Modules are swapped on the quick-release rail, with no tools and no reinstallation. The system weighs 6 kg, measures 400 × 257 × 235 mm, runs at 24 V and uses a waterproof design extended to the wiring, with an IP54 protection rating and a -25°C to +55°C operating range.
