The Dual Light Gimbal Camera Kit Thermal + Daylight is a thermal and daylight camera with 30x zoom designed for integration on Unitree Go, Unitree A2 and Unitree AS2 quadruped robots. The system combines a 5 megapixel visible sensor with 2K video at 30 fps (2880×1620 resolution) and 30x digital zoom, a professional 384×288 thermal camera at 8-14 μm (LWIR band) and a mechanically stabilized 3-axis gimbal that keeps the image perfectly stable even with the robot moving on complex terrain. The dual RTSP output via IP network (dedicated channel for visible and thermal) enables direct integration into main telecontrol systems, open-source GCS, video management systems and cloud platforms, supporting simultaneous streaming of both the visible and thermal feed. The thermal sensor includes up to 11 colorization palettes (white hot, black hot, iron red, rainbow, night, aurora, etc.) to optimize visualization according to the operational scenario. The gimbal integrates automatic AI target tracking: after target selection in frame, the system autonomously keeps the subject centered during robot movement, an essential feature for surveillance, perimeter inspection and search & rescue missions. With a total weight of only 117 grams and compact dimensions (62×65×86 mm), the kit is optimized for Unitree quadruped robots’ maximum payload without significant impact on autonomy or maneuverability. The controllable angular range is -90°/+10° in pitch, ±90° in yaw and ±45° in roll, sufficient for 360° inspection of the surrounding environment. For operation, the Unitree Integration and Control Kit is required (sold separately), which manages power supply, network signal routing and gimbal control commands. What’s the thermal camera resolution?
The thermal camera has 384×288 pixel resolution in the LWIR 8-14 μm band, with thermal time constant <10 ms, frame rate ≤25 Hz, focal length 7 mm and F1.0 aperture. Up to 11 selectable thermal colorization palettes are available (white hot, black hot, iron red, rainbow, night, aurora, etc.).
How are videos transmitted?
The camera transmits via IP network (Ethernet) with simultaneous dual RTSP stream: one for the visible sensor (port 554) and one for the thermal sensor (port 555). This enables direct integration into telecontrol dashboards, cloud platforms, open-source GCS and standard VMS systems.
Does it support automatic target tracking?
Yes, the system includes an AI function for automatic target tracking. After selecting the target in frame via app, the gimbal autonomously keeps the subject centered even during Unitree robot movement, an essential feature for surveillance, perimeter inspection and SAR missions.
