During mobile operations, indoor staff can use DJI FlightHub 2 to remotely set the docking dock location and assign tasks on the cloud, thus improving staff and scheduling efficiency.
Two docks can be deployed simultaneously on a single vehicle, achieving a significant increase in efficiency. DJI Dock 3 uses a special acquisition scheme to avoid drone collisions and ensure operational safety by allowing the two docks to alternate tasks in an orderly manner.

Obstacle detection

The Obstacle Detection Module [4] for Matrice 4D/4TD combines rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar technologies to accurately avoid 12-mm wire-level obstacles at speeds up to 15 m/s in complex power line crossings, as well as improved positioning in low-light conditions. [5] Operational safety is ensured for variable electrical distribution network environments and in intricate substation layouts. [15]
Excellent performance in low-light environments
The Matrice 4D series drones are equipped with four high-resolution fisheye lenses for low-light conditions, significantly improving [11] visual positioning and obstacle detection capabilities in low-light conditions. The new Night Scene mode provides color night vision. Matrice 4TD also provides IR-Cut filter function for black-and-white night vision and 24/7 operations, as well as a new NIR auxiliary light that can cover distances up to 100 m. [10] The Matrice 4TD infrared camera supports the UHR infrared image mode with resolution up to 1280 × 1024 and a high-resolution mode for detailed temperature readings.
Clear vision and stable images
The Matrice 4D series drones are equipped with telephoto and medium telephoto with foreground stabilization. The medium telephoto camera is effective for medium-range inspections, detecting pins and cracks from 10 meters and clearly reading instrument data in substations. [16] The 48 MP telephoto camera captures details, such as signage, from a distance of up to 250 m. [17] When using Matrice 4TD’s telephoto lens camera while the aircraft is in stationary flight in a windless environment, the stabilizer can tilt upward 80 degrees, making defects under the bridges clearly visible. Advanced telephoto stabilization makes foreground subjects stable and clear during telephoto shooting with 10x zoom or higher.

This update introduces a range of flight path planning options, including 3D Smart image paths [5], geometric paths, and slope paths, improving efficiency while providing detailed modeling.
