DJI Dock 2 + Matrice 3D — System Configurations and Warranty

Configure your complete DJI Dock 2 autonomous system: the docking station on its own, with the Italian 12-month warranty, and the DJI Matrice 3D drone that pairs with it. The Dock 2 is 75% more compact and 68% lighter than the Dock 1, IP55-rated, with a 10 km operating radius and 32-minute charging for true 24/7 unmanned operations. In stock at DroneBase, DJI Gold 5 Dealer certified ISO 9001:2015, with site survey, installation and FlightHub 2 setup included. How to configure your DJI Dock 2 system

A complete DJI Dock 2 deployment has up to three parts: the docking station, an optional Italian warranty, and the DJI Matrice 3D drone that flies the missions. Because the Dock 2 works exclusively with the Matrice 3D and 3TD, choosing the right combination matters as much as the dock itself. Here is how the components compare so you can build the configuration that fits your site and your support needs.

DJI Dock 2 — the station on its own

The standalone Dock 2 (from €8,067, VAT included, or about €178.40/month with a Grenke operating lease) is the right starting point if you already own a Matrice 3D/3TD and self-manage your coverage. It includes the station, landing base, IP55 cover, mounting kit and 12V power adapter, ready for FlightHub 2 or your own Cloud API platform.

DJI Dock 2 with Italian warranty

The DJI Dock 2 Warranty configuration adds the official Italian coverage: 12 months on the hangar and 6 months on the batteries, with Nital support. It is the choice for organisations that want full coverage of manufacturing defects and faster local assistance on a system meant to run continuously, year-round, outdoors.

DJI Matrice 3D — the drone for the Dock 2

The DJI Matrice 3D is the aerial platform engineered for the Dock 2, with a 56 MP mechanical-shutter camera and RTK positioning for survey, mapping and inspection missions. Add it to your order unless you already operate an M3D/3TD; the dock cannot fly without a compatible drone.

Which configuration to choose

As a rule of thumb: you already own a Matrice 3D and self-insure → the station on its own; you are deploying a new system and want local coverage → Dock 2 with Italian warranty plus the Matrice 3D; multi-site rollouts → talk to us about volume configuration and fleet management on FlightHub 2. If you are unsure, our team sizes the system on your coverage area and mission frequency.

Frequently asked questions about the DJI Dock 2 system

How much does the DJI Dock 2 cost?

The Dock 2 station (No Warranty) is €8,067 (VAT included), or about €178.40/month with a 60-month Grenke operating lease. The Italian warranty and the Matrice 3D drone are priced separately — contact us for a full system quote tailored to your deployment.

What's the difference between the No-Warranty and Warranty versions?

Functionally the dock is identical. The "Warranty" configuration adds the official Italian coverage — 12 months on the hangar, 6 months on the batteries — with Nital support and faster local assistance. The "No Warranty" version is the bare station for those who self-manage coverage.

Do I need the Matrice 3D, or can I use another drone?

The Dock 2 works exclusively with the DJI Matrice 3D and Matrice 3TD. If you don't already operate one, the Matrice 3D must be added to the system. Earlier Matrice models and other DJI drones are not compatible.

Do I need special authorizations to run autonomous operations?

Yes. Unmanned, beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations in Italy require specific ENAC authorizations and operational permits. Our team guides you through the regulatory requirements and documentation for your deployment.

What are the delivery times, and is the system available on MEPA?

The Dock 2, the warranty option and the Matrice 3D are in stock with express 24h shipping across Italy. The complete system is available on MEPA for Fire Brigades, Civil Protection, utility bodies and Public Administrations, with full tender documentation support.
