We have been designing and manufacturing drones and professional solutions in Italy since 2012, with certified quality and a team of technicians, designers and engineers.
Our Story
DroneBase S.r.l. was founded in Rimini, Italy in 2012 by the current CEO Fabio De Matteis. Since the beginning we orient our activity towards the design of drones and gimbal Camera for industrial use, covering a wide range of technical sectors. Today, after more than ten years, we have launched numerous products and realized hundreds of customized solutions for Italian and international customers.
With the ability to conceive, design, manufacture, and certify industrial-grade platforms, DroneBase is among the most relevant players in the national and international professional drone scene.
Our vision
It all starts with an idea, insight, or request from a customer that generates a chain reaction involving designers, technicians, engineers, and insiders: creating something new, better, and higher performing to implement professional applications in the various areas of our drones.
Unmanned systems (drones) are pushing organizations to rethink established processes, making possible milestones that previous generations could only imagine. With a strong focus on technology and digital, we chart – and walk – the path to the future of professional drones, collaborating side by side with our clients and implementing change day by day while respecting people and the environment.
Where we work
Our facilities cover nearly 700 m² and include advanced R&D laboratories, test benches, production lines, flight simulators, dedicated engineering and design areas, showrooms, a training room with a 10,000 m² airfield, warehouses and offices.
The team consists of mechanical, electronic, and aeronautical engineers, as well as designers and beta testers: cross-functional skills that allow us to follow the entire product life cycle.
What we produce
We produce professional drones (APRs) in different configurations and the innovative DBase – Drone in a Box, a fully autonomous solution for remote management of aerial operations. We also design and manufacture custom gimbals and payloads that can be integrated with optical, thermal, multispectral and Lidar sensors, depending on specific application needs.
