DroneBase’s Magnetometer Integration Kit is the complete solution for the installation and professional use of SENSYS MagDrone magnetometric systems on DJI Matrice 350 and DJI Matrice 400 platforms, ensuring high-precision data acquisition for geophysical, archaeological, environmental and mining applications. The heart of the system is the SPH Engineering SkyHub 3, the universal onboard computer for UAV sensor integration that manages communication between the DJI drone and the magnetometric payload, data acquisition, logging and survey mission control. The kit includes the SPH Engineering Smart Cable v3 for DJI Matrice 400, designed specifically for the latest generation DJI Enterprise platforms and capable of ensuring signal stability and reliable power supply under all operating conditions. The distinctive feature of the system is the support for True Terrain Following (TTF), an SPH Engineering technology that — combined with the high-precision radar altimeter included in the kit — allows the drone to automatically maintain a constant altitude above the actual terrain, not just above the take-off point as occurs with barometric altitude flight. This feature is essential for magnetic surveys: the sensor-to-ground distance directly determines the quality of the magnetic data, and maintaining it constant on rough terrain or with significant elevation changes is impossible with traditional flight. The kit includes two dedicated SkyHub software packages: the first for complete management of SENSYS MagDrone magnetometers (setup, synchronization and acquisition), the second for True Terrain Following. Together, they enable automatic low-altitude missions and high-resolution magnetic surveys, with the precision required by the professional standards of the sector.
